Abstract

Scientometric assessments needed to promote of effective research with accordance of the latest advances in biomedicine in general, for the development of new directions of researches, for the training of highly qualified scientific and teaching staff, and for the find of ways to bridge the gap in the positions and the public image of the modern and the classical branches of biomedicine. The purpose of study - a comparison of scientometric evaluation of publication activity and sociometric indicators of Russian specialists, the field of professional, scientific and educational activities and scientific interest of which is human anatomy. The object of the study were scientometric and sociometric data about of 50 most renowned anatomists of Russian Federation (26 women anatomists, doctors and anatomists 24 men doctors, professors and heads of departments of human anatomy), united in four age groups from 36 to 73 years. Was analyzed sociometric parameters of gender, age, age of Ph.D. and doctoral theses, the years between the defense of the thesis, the time elapsed since the protection of both the thesis to the time of receipt of scientometric data. From scientometric evaluation of publication activity was used the number of publications and citations (references to publications), h-index. The methods of parametric and nonparametric statistics were used for analyzing of the relationship of sociometric and scientometric indicators of scientists-anatomists. It is proved that scientometric evaluation of publication activity and sociometric indicators of Russian specialists, the sphere of professional, scientific and teaching activities which is human anatomy are interrelated. According to the results, sex and age as the conjugate in the field of scientific work social factors are quite important and determine the publication activity of the scientist. Hirsch index is not correlated with the age of the researcher, but it has gender differences. The data obtained can be used for comparative evaluation of publication activity of researchers in the biomedical field.
